As teachers we aim to support you in your investigations, so that you may achieve to your best and beyond!

  • Please look at the following questions to establish your plan:

  1. WHAT? Write a brief outline to identify and describe the main idea or question you wish to investigate?
  2. WHY? Explain why you have chosen to explore this idea? WHAT? Can you clarify what this idea means to you?
  3. WHAT? Summarise what you already know, remember or understand about this idea/question/subject?
  4. WHAT? What else do you need to find out? What other questions or ideas would you like to investigate?
  5. HOW? How do you plan to find out more? Explain the steps you will take to conduct your investigation?
  6. WHERE? Where are you planning to go to discover new information and ideas? Describe places, (real and virtual), and other possible sources, experiences or processes.
  7. WHO? Are there relevant human resources available to enhance your investigation?
  8. WHAT? Identify some additional questions that you may need to ask when you conduct your research and investigation?
  9. HOW? How do you plan to document your exploration?
  10. HOW? How might you apply these discoveries to explore possible directions/solutions and further questions?
  11. HOW? How might you devise a unique way to present and communicate your discoveries, ideas and potential solutions to others?
  12. HOW? How do you plan to evaluate and reflect on your investigation? What evaluation questions might you ask? What would you do differently next time? What new questions have arisen as a result of your investigation?
